Women not having an equal chance to be promoted is a serious problem. Having inequality in promoting women existing within economic institutions puts not only the women who are not being promoted at a serious disadvantage, but it puts their families at a disadvantage was well.
Single mothers that are qualified for promotions and need them but not receiving them can potentially push them into poverty, or a lower standard of living. This could disadvantage their children and start a cycle of poverty.
Mothers who may have to move out of their neighborhoods due to economic reasons may have to move to an area with inadequate educational facilities and neighborhoods with poor social capital.
Women deserve the same opportunities as men when it comes to wages and job promotions. They should be given the chance to perform well in upper managerial job
